The first time I stayed at a bed & breakfast was when my wife and I went on our first anniversary vacation weekend. We knew we wanted seem away, we just were unable sure where or what we wanted to do.
A colleague of hers showed her a book of bed & breakfasts’ around the United Conditions. She brought the book home to me to take a look to see what Believed about going to one of these for our anniversary. With zero experience (at the time) and zero an understanding of bed & breakfasts’ I’ve been a bit skeptical. Do i really want to spend my weekend staying in someone’s home?
The more I find the bed & breakfast lifestyle, the more I became intrigued, until finally my girlfriend got hooked and we booked a bed & breakfast in upstate Vermont. I can honestly say it was a crank. The bed & breakfast owners treated us like royalty, waited on us like we were a king and queen, and the (that was included in purchase price) was simply unbelievable.
Since then my niece and I to be able to to two other bed & breakfasts, one in Williamsburg, VA and another in upstate Long island near Seneca Bay. Although the concept each and every bed & breakfast were similar, these people different in a variety of ways. For instance in Vermont at breakfast and dinner (both of which were included) we sat at individual table in the adjoining restaurant. In NY and VA we ate a significant table with all of the other guests. In VA the owners took care of everything, well them and their little kids. In NY and VT the owners ran the place but also had help to get rooms ready and keep the place clean up. In VT we had our own outside entrance to our room as if your room was all of our house. In NY and VA that you had your own bedroom in the same house with one other guests.
Regardless of whichever style you choose, if you have not stayed at a bed & breakfast you should. 1 was wonderful an individual also really felt like you were part on the owner’s family when you stayed there.
I would recommend first pick a place where you know you would actually like to stay. Anyone like the mountain ranges? How about the sun or a tropical island? Once fully grasp what you want to do, take a look up the bed & breakfasts in the areas that you might have targeted and start reading up for them. Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other book stores have a variety of books you can look at without purchasing purchase this information. Additionally you can go to your local library or look for your bed & breakfast directory online.
Once you have the location and purchase it narrowed down to at least or two possible bed & breakfast choices, start pricing them out and pay attention to if they happen to be in your budget. I noticed you that they a bit pricier then a normal hotel room (some of them anyway). However verify what sort of amenities you get for your offering price. Most come with breakfast, otherwise it would just be called Bed & go outside of my house in the day time. You get the goal. Some also serve dinner and offer afternoon tea & healthy. Find out what you receive for your dinero. It will definitely help with your decision.
